Get found online. Your business listings, sorted from one place.

Missing or mismatched directory listings quietly hurt your local visibility. Get Found writes your listing copy from your real Google reviews, keeps your details consistent, and walks you through the directories that actually matter.

Why listings matter more than they look

When someone searches for a business like yours, search engines do not just look at your website. They cross-reference your name, address and phone number across the directories you are listed in. When those details agree everywhere, it signals a real, active business. When they conflict — an old address on Yell, a missing phone number on Bing — the signal weakens, and so does your visibility.

The problem is not that listing your business is hard. It is that it is tedious: ten directories, ten forms, and a description to write each time. Get Found removes the tedium so the job actually gets done.

How it works

1

Get Found builds your listing pack

Using your real Google data, it writes a tagline, a short description (under 160 characters) and a longer ~120-word description drawn from what your actual customers say in reviews. Your name, address, phone and website sit alongside, each with copy-to-clipboard.

2

Work through the directory checklist

Each directory has a deep link straight to its add-your-business page, plus field tips — what to have ready, which upsells to ignore, and the fastest route through each form.

3

Track your progress

Mark each directory as not started, submitted or live. Directories often take a few days to approve listings, so the checklist remembers where you got to.

The directories covered

Six global directories for every business, plus four UK directories that are automatically hidden if your business is elsewhere.

Google Business Profile

Global

The most important listing. You may already have this if you connected your reviews. Verify by postcard, phone or video. Keep name, address and phone identical to your website.

Bing Places

Global

Fastest route: sign in and import your Google Business Profile instead of typing everything again. Powers Bing and Windows search results.

Apple Business Connect

Global

Puts you on Apple Maps and Siri. Needs an Apple ID. Upload a square logo and cover photo for the best-looking place card.

Facebook Business Page

Global

Create a Page (not a personal profile). Fill in the About section with your short description, add your website link and opening hours.

Yelp

Global

Search for your business first — it may already exist and just needs claiming. Ignore the ad upsell calls; the free listing is what matters.

Yell

UK

The UK’s biggest directory. The free listing is enough — you don’t need the paid packages. Use your long description here.

Thomson Local

UK

Long-running UK directory. Look for the free "add your business" option. Consistent NAP details matter more than a fancy profile.

FreeIndex

UK

Free UK directory with decent search visibility. Supports customer reviews — worth pointing a few happy customers here too.

Checkatrade

UK · Trades

For trades only (builders, plumbers, electricians, roofers…). Paid membership with vetting — expect to provide insurance and ID documents.

Trustpilot

Global

Claim the free business account. Best for service and online businesses; reviews here often rank on Google for "[your name] reviews".

There is also a slot for your own industry directory — a trade body, chamber of commerce, or niche review site.

What Get Found doesn’t do

Get Found does not submit listings on your behalf. Some services offer auto-submission, and if that is what you want, tools like Yext or BrightLocal do it as their core business. We chose not to — on purpose.

It prepares everything and tracks your progress; the submitting stays in your hands. Most owners get through the priority directories in an afternoon.

Frequently asked questions

What is Get Found?+
Get Found is a Pro-plan feature in your WeWidget dashboard that prepares everything you need to list your business in online directories. It generates a tagline, a short description and a longer description from your real Google reviews, puts your name, address, phone and website in one place with copy-to-clipboard, and gives you a progress checklist of directories with deep links and tips for each one.
Does Get Found submit my business to directories automatically?+
No, and that is deliberate. Get Found prepares your listing pack and tracks your progress, but you make each submission yourself. That means you never hand over directory passwords to a third party, there are no per-listing fees, and every listing stays in an account you own and control.
Which directories does Get Found cover?+
Google Business Profile, Bing Places, Apple Business Connect, Facebook, Yelp and Trustpilot for every business. UK businesses also see Yell, Thomson Local, FreeIndex and, for trades, Checkatrade. Non-UK businesses simply do not see the UK-only entries.
How does consistent listing information help me get found online?+
Search engines cross-reference your name, address and phone number (often called NAP) across the web. When those details match everywhere, it is a signal that your business is real and current, which supports your local search visibility. When they conflict — an old address on one directory, a different phone number on another — that signal weakens. Get Found keeps one set of correct details in front of you while you work through each directory.
Where does the AI-written copy come from?+
From your own data: your business details and the text of your recent Google reviews. It writes a punchy tagline, a short description under 160 characters, and a longer description of around 120 words — using only facts found in your details and reviews. It never invents years in business, qualifications or services, and you can copy and edit everything before you use it.
How much does Get Found cost?+
Get Found is included in the WeWidget Pro plan at £9/month. Every Pro trial includes it too — 30 days free, no card required. If you decide not to subscribe, your account simply pauses at the end of the trial.
